We often talk about inspiring wellness here at Hike it Baby. It’s so important that it is one of our six values. These values are more than just something on paper. They are the core of what we do. As Mother’s Day approaches, it’s important we take a moment and create wellness for the mothers in our lives.
In our 2018 Mother’s Day Gift Guide, we’ve hand selected gifts to foster wellness … ideas guaranteed to get her outside and give her a relaxing day.
Get Her Outside
Here are our favorite ideas to pack up for her to get her out on the trail.
Deuter
Grab a bag that’s designed for her body. Deuter has a bag to suit every need whether it’s a quick day hike or spending a few nights out in the backcountry. Choose a bag with the Aircontact system for less back sweat and extra comfort.

Casey’s Krunch
There is nothing worse than being hangry, except a toddler who’s hangry as well. Don’t forget to tuck in a little granola pouch. I’m loving the Casey’s Krunch. She has four flavors and I honestly can’t pick a favorite; each one is delicious. It’s such an easy trail food, or you can tuck it into a bag for going out and about.

Boody Eco Wear
What you wear close to your body matters when out on the trail. If it’s chilly, sweating makes it even colder and hot … plus, sticky is awful. So make sure the layers closest to her body are wicking. Boody Eco Wear has been a pick for us before and now they’ve made their layers better with their active gear. They keep the wicking and warming properties of bamboo and enhance it with their Active line. (Christina also loves their new active bra for more than just hiking — check out her review here.)

Sunday Afternoons
Don’t forget her hat! What I love about Sunday Afternoons is whether she loves something trendy, a more classic silhouette or needs something to keep the rain off, there is a hat for that. Bonus is that many of their hats are packable.

Give her a relaxing day
Schedule a massage, put a reservation in at her favorite brunch spot or text her friends for a girls’ day out. Need more ideas? We have a few picks to make her feel relaxed and special.
Humble Bee
We love the Humble Bee Mini Charm for its versatility. This clever little bag does well for quick trips, solo trips and as a stroller organizer. Even though it’s smaller (dimensions are 14.8″ x 4.4″ x 6″), it’s packed with features like two bottle holders (fits my 18 0z. bottle perfectly), outside pocket lined with fleece (large enough for my iPhone 7 plus!) and expandable compartment. This is one little product that will go a long way.

Essential Oils
Honestly, with a threenager, I’ve been using a diffuser with a few lavender drops almost full-time. Let’s just say we go through a few essential oils. I love the versatility of essential oils from stress relief to cleaning. Now they make products to diffuse even in the car so it no longer smells like a 3-year-old has peed in her car seat and the drive is a bit calmer. Check out some ideas here.

OneWild
I’m not a big jewelry person – typically because it’s heavy, clunky and doesn’t match my style. But I love the OneWild earrings because they have a great variety, are super lightweight and funky fun. OneWild also gives $1 of every pair of earrings sold to programs that help empower women and girls. I’m feeling pretty #wildlyconfident in my OneWild earrings!
