HiB30 Challenge Winner Profile - Cary Burtt (1)Way to go Michael, Henry (2), and Everett (8 months) for hiking 33 miles in the June HiB30 Challenge! Just by registering they were entered to win a prize and so can you! Here’s what Michael had to say about their experience:

Was this your first Challenge? If yes, how did it motivate you to get outdoors? If this was not your first Challenge, how was it different from your previous experience?
This was my first challenge.  I liked that I had to get out for an average of 1 mile a day and since I joined late, I needed 2 miles a day. That kept me thinking of going on a walk daily.

What was the biggest obstacle you faced during this Challenge and how did you overcome it?
My biggest obstacle, always, is making time. This is why I like Hike it baby. It gives me a firm time and place to be and I cannot justify why I didn’t walk with a lame excuse.

Where was your favorite hike this month?
We did a great 4.5 mile walk along Boulder creek.

How easy or hard was it to get out and accomplish the miles you achieved? Any advice for families who think they could never do 30 miles in 30 days?
It was a challenge. Break it down to 1 or 2 a day. You would be surprised how easy it is to get out for just one mile in the neighborhood.

If you could describe your HiB30 Challenge this June in 3 words what would they be?
Meeting New People

The Challenge is On!! Join in the fun of getting your family outside and be entered to win prizes like the HIB Babyclava + HiB Tshirt that Michael won from the HiB Store!
