Was this your first Challenge? If yes, how did it motivate you to get outdoors? If this was not your first Challenge, how was it different from your previous experience?
Yes. It motivated me to get outside more days than I would have. Being a first time mom, it’s sometimes hard to leave the house. I loved getting out more and spending time outside with my baby!
What was the biggest obstacle you faced during this Challenge and how did you overcome it?
My biggest obstacle was getting out of the house. However, practice helped! The more I got out, the easier it got.
Where was your favorite hike this month? Why is it your favorite?
My favorite hike was Twin Lakes in Boulder. You can actually take a stroller and it’s across the street from Avery Brewing (for after hike beers).
How easy or hard was it to get out and accomplish the miles you achieved? Any advice for families who think they could never do 30 miles in 30 days?
It was not easy, but the best advice I have is get out as often as you can. The more often you are out the less miles you have to do each day.
If you could describe your HiB30 Challenge this June in 3 words what would they be and why?
Refreshing, fun and learning. It was refreshing for me and baby to get fresh air. It was fun for both of us as I showed him new things in the world. And learning for baby to learn more about the world around him.

My big plans are more hiking! I’m so excited to have a more comfortable hike.
