We just had our first Hike it Baby camp trip and it was an awesome success. Nine families and a whole lot of babies and kiddos and somehow we managed to get them all to sleep by 9pm!
The Silver Falls Hike it Baby camp trip was the first of two planned for this month. We chose Silver Falls because we knew it would be hot and there is a lot of shade and swimming holes a plenty for the group.
The group met up at 1pm at the Silver Falls parking lot and then headed out for a 5.8 mile hike on the Lower Falls trail. This trail has 7 of the 10 waterfalls found at Silver Falls. For those who haven’t been this is an incredible hike and totally worth doing with babies and kids. It’s not hard and you can go at a slow pace.
We did the north falls hike on Sunday and that was about 2 miles and was a bit more challenging in parts. But this can also be done just as a drive up and walk in a little if you part at the Rim trail lot.
Want to join in another Hike it Baby trip? We have one coming up on August 15-17. Check our events calendar for details.
