Tell us about your favorite hike in the world!
I haven’t had many experiences, we only have one LONG trail in Paris. However, I hope to change that this summer! So, my favorite hike is, all of the hikes I have with all of our new friends we have met since starting the Paris Hike It Baby Branch!
Favorite Hike it Baby moment so far?
Favorite Hike It Baby moment was on our last hike. We had a new mom with a 6 week old baby. All of our moms were so patient and helpful!
What is the best advice for a new hiking family?
Get out and enjoy as often as possible! It’s worth every minute!
What are your hiking goals for 2015?
Travel around a little and find some awesome trails. I would like to find at least 3 trails to visit on our vacations this year. Also, start having 3 hikes a week with Hike it Baby.
Got a favorite trail trick?
Fussy Babies love water bottles… not full ones but half full or empty. It has worked all most every time with all the babies on our hikes
What is a hiking/outdoors accomplishment with baby that you are most proud of?
Hiking alone with 4 children.
Why is it important to you to have your kiddo out in nature?
Sophia loves being outdoors! The fresh air is good for us both, so it can help a bad mood turn around instantly. It also healthy and relaxing! Win, Win!
What kind of gear do you always suggest people get?
Correct shoes! Wherever you live or wherever you are hiking, always wear the correct shoes! If not, it could turn a great hike into a disaster.
How has Hike it Baby influenced other aspects of your life?
We have met so many new friends. It has given me confidence to talk to people and make a difference in our community!
