Hike it Baby works with many groups to help get families on trail. Here are some of the projects who support us and we believe in and love! Help us all get more people out there into the woods and into the parks.

52 Hike Challenge

The 52 Hike Challenge is a global movement to inspire and encourage individuals to step outside their comfort zone in order to achieve the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits that are gained from getting outdoors.

Adventure Mamas Initiative

Adventure Mamas Initiative is a non-profit organization encouraging empowered motherhood. We are dedicated to enhancing women’s post-partum health by facilitating adventure, building community, and inspiring an active, epic lifestyle.

Born Wild Project

The Born Wild Project empowers families to raise children who are connected with wilderness and wildness through beautiful films. The Born Wild Community has worked and walked side by side with Hike it Baby over the last few years and we are excited to help spread the message that Born Wild Films is sharing. 

Outdoor Afro

Outdoor Afro has become the nation’s leading, cutting edge network that celebrates and inspires African American connections and leadership in nature. We help people take better care of themselves, our communities, and our planet!

Outdoors Empowered Network

Outdoors Empowered Network is growing a powerful network of Affiliates that GET YOUTH OUTDOORS through wilderness leadership training and outdoor Gear Libraries™. We provide backbone organizational support to these organizations through our National Summit, outdoor gear and a host of additional network support services.

Outdoor Women’s Alliance

Through the lens of human-powered adventure, Outdoor Women’s Alliance works to inspire confidence and leadership in women of all ages, believing that strong women have the power to build healthy communities and — quite literally — change the world.

SheJumps

SheJumps is a nonprofit organization with a mission to increase the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities. Through free and low-cost outdoor education programs, SheJumps gets women and girls outside and having fun. The SheJumps vision? Offer supportive, encouraging events that build self confidence, foster leadership skills, and create a lasting connection to nature. 

 

National Outdoor Movement Days We Support

National Park Trust / Kids to Park Day

Kids to Parks™ (KTP) Day is a national day of outdoor play organized by National Park Trust in cooperation with a host of local and national collaborators. Hike it Baby plans on having at least 150 events around the US for Kids to Parks day. If you are interested in hosting one please add it to the Hike it Baby calendar and this will be shared further with the Kids to Parks day calendar. 

National Trails Day – American Hiking Society

National Trails Day is the only nationally coordinated event designed to unite all muscle-powered trail activities with the goal of connecting more people to trails. Every trail beckons adventure and has a story to share with any person willing to discover it, and American Hiking Society believes these trail experiences can improve the lives of every American.

The Sierra Club

The Sierra Club's mission is to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth;
To practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources;
To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives.

Children & Nature Network

The Children & Nature Network is leading the movement to connect all children, their families and communities to nature through innovative ideas, evidence-based resources and tools, broad-based collaboration and support of grassroots leadership.  

Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics

The member-driven Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics protects the outdoors by teaching people to enjoy it responsibly. It is the most widely accepted outdoor ethics program used on public lands. Through targeted education, research and outreach, the Center ensures the long-term health of our natural world.
